I’ve gotten used to the sound of Ingrid Michaelson chirping from my phone alarm about being loved the way she is. It doesn’t even stir a muscle in me. So recently I’ve changed my alarm to Ok Go’s “Here it Goes.” The first couple of days, I was repeatedly jolted awake by an earsplitting voice moaning, ” Here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again! Ah, here it goes again!” But now, I just let him screech on for another 6 or 7 rounds before groaning under my own breath, ” Aw, man, here it goes again…”
If anybody has any suggestions for songs that will definitely wake people up in the morning, please let me know!

We managed to salvage two editors, Kim and Minelauva, who are crazy enough to stick with us slave-drivers (Thank you, guys!), and I know they’ll be a great addition to the Heels’ Team, along with Antebellum’s former Admin slash Texting Buddy slash crazy anime fan girl, iamdea.

I’m really in it for Bitou Lollipop. I love the manga to death, and I’m so gad you’re scanlating it. However, I can no longer read it from mangafox… why is that? I was real worried at first, but then I see a download link for it. Is there anyway you’ll ever put it up on a manga site instead? I don’t feel comfortable downloading things usually… sorry. >.<

We (and our joint team) prefer not having it on any manga reader sites, especially during times like these where we need to lay low. While other groups are playing it safe and going IRC ONLY, we’ve decided to keep direct downloads as a favor to our readers. That’s the best we can offer.
I think you’re more likely to get something vicious visiting reader sites like MF than dl’ing anything from here, if that’s any consolation. 🙁
I suggest After School’s DIVA as your alarm. You’ll won’t know what they’re saying but it’s dance-upbeat enough to wake you up, hopefully. Or their Bang! single. You’ll wake up creeped out by the Korean man speaking Engrish but by then the real singing will come up. Or you’ll hit snooze singing ‘Uh huh, uh huh, uh huh!” Seriously….

Hello, thank you for the updates! Especially Tokyo Alice – I’ve been reading the raws in chinese but my chinese is poor at best and I don’t really get what is going on. However, I can’t seem to download .rar files. I was wondering of it would be possible for you to either put it on an online reading site or change it to .zip? I’m sorry for all the trouble.

As for me, right now I’m using “Dive into the 9” taken from the OST of Darker Than Black Ryusei no Gemini. Gives me that untz untz untz untz early in the morning. Lol. Before that it was “Temee Raaa!! Soredemo Gintama Tsuiten no Kaaa!!” (Gintama OST).

I find it a lot more effective to use a song I hate for my cell phone alarm. The need to get out of bed to switch it off greatly overrides the urge to snooze.

@Minelauva: Kim will have some time after the 18th to start editing, so I think she’ll be able to squeeze the first part of A Small Sheep Dreams into her schedule for a late December release. I’ll email you with more details later, but in case you’re reading, I actually hoped you could get started on Silent Summer Snow, since translations are finished, and you could work at your leisure.
Oh, and we found someone to do Kodomo Datte Otona ni Naru / Even Children Become Adults! Next month’s lineup is full of “omg, omg, omg!” moments.
As for the alarm clock, I doubt I can afford to get it, what with my manga obsession. If you’ve ever seen Yomiko Readman’s room in ” Read or Die OVA”, you’ll know how frightening that obsession can be.
Oh, and when you have the time, don’t hesitate to send me the scans of A small sheep dreams so I can get started with the editing. With my exams and then winter holidays coming up, I probably won’t have much time to edit this month but I should still be able to do something.

I also have trouble waking up. I tend to shut off my phone alarm without really realizing it. I don’t know what to do anymore… When I have regular classes, it’s not really a problem. Sadly, my teachers are used to it or simply don’t care but when I have exams…
The only thing which can make me open my eyes and litterally jump out of my bed is this alarm clock : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50187566. Actually, it was so efficient it could wake up everyone in the house / in the dorm so I figured oversleeping was a better option.
But put something like this a few meters away from your bed, volume of the alarm turned up to the max and I swear you will wake up instantly. I can’t guarantee you will be in a good mood though.
We’ll be continuing with 3 am Dangerous Zone, Junai Rosen [Love Route], Nina My Love, Tokyo Alice, and Under the Apple Tree [Oneshot]. You should be seeing them in sometime in December. If we can nab an editor for the project next month, we’ll restart Machi de Uwasa no Tengu no Ko also.
The site hasn’t been completely updated, and we haven’t moved the downloads to our server yet. But we hope to finish by the end of December, so you should be seeing all projects up by then. 🙂
