Ahimè, che furia! Ahimè, che folla!

For 25 years I have been mocking the baritone to the opera “Barber of Seville.” There’s even a home video of 8-year-old Hatsumi with with a bowl cut, dressed in floral knit shorts and a loose blouse, hands on my belly, and shouting, “Piccolo! Piccoloooooo!”

It wasn’t until two years ago when the “Barber of Seville” opened at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Figaro, the Barber of Seville, belted out “Figaro! Figaro!” that I realized what I had been singing to all this time was a green-skinned Namekian created by Akira Toriyama. (Read: Dragon Ball)

My Canto bf will never let me live it down. When we walked home to my apartment a pair of hispanic boys came pedalling toward us. The pink-cheeked boy sitting behind was singing a song we couldn’t catch. When they pedalled closer, we picked up the words, “Figaro! Figaro!” We followed that voice as it disappeared down the street…and then he burst out laughing.

So what does this have to do with anything, you say? Well, in the same vein as me singing, “Figaro!” instead of “Piccolo!” now, I’m re-releasing some fixed chapters ALL OVER AGAIN. Sorry, guys, but I get very anal about mistakes, especially when I’m the one who makes them, and there were plenty of mistakes in our 3 am release to warrant an arrest!

Minelauva (our editor) suggested I just put out the QC’ed chapter with the next release, and after a few days of fidgeting, I am taking her word for it.

So here is the actual QC’ed release of 3 am Dangerous Zone (for any of you who still care): Ch.1 + 2 [Fixed Release]

And both a revised and new chapter of Sekine’s Love:
Ch.1 [Fixed Release] + Ch.2

We’ll be back on Tuesday to wrap up the month’s releases. Enjoy the Memorial Day weekend! 😀
