Yeah, that was becoming painfully obvious to me the further I read. Shiro just hasn’t been fleshed out enough as a character either. At this point, if I had to choose which contender in the love triangle should get Kaoru, I’d have to raise my hand and say, “I’ve shifted to the Yagai faction.” I peeked into the later volumes and the author’s made sure to realize my megane danshi (boys with glasses) fetish. Shiro’s not going away just yet, and we’ll get to know his inner workings. That was exactly what I had been waiting for. It’s going to be so painful to watch them all, yet I can’t…resist…
